Veteran bluegrass fiddler Joe Meadows passed
away at his home near Washington, DC, on Saturday,
February 8, writes Ira Gitlin. “He died quickly
and painlessly from a heart attack. Joe performed
with the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers, the Stanley Brothers,
Bill Monroe, Jim & Jesse.
