David Heiller, 53, of Brownsville, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on January 24. He was a fine singer, banjo and guitar player, and with his wife Cindy he ran an old-time dance in their renovated barn on a high ridge overlooking the Mississippi River. Dave was the editor of the CaledoniaArgus, and had written articles on old-time music for other publications including a piece on Glenn Ohrlin that appeared in the Old-Time Herald. His memorial service was enormous, and included many old-time musicians who came to play the music he had loved.
